A Shift in Direction
By trade, I am a filmmaker. However, during the pandemic I have found myself rediscovering my fine-art roots, finding solace in the quietness of etching with ink or “painting” with flower petals and plant matter. I am fascinated by the combination of high-technology,
specifically sound technology, juxtaposed with naturalistic elements.
My most recent explorations have been capturing animal calls in the wild and discovering the urban landscapes that are intrinsic to each waveform's shape. I am also
experimenting with replicating ultrasounds, using flower petals, as the predominant design medium to recreate the sonic image.
